Company History

Since 1983 MR Fire & Security has refined itself into one of the UK’s premier independent electronic security service providers who represent a dynamic organisation, continually striving for service perfection, which we believe our Customers deserve.

Changes

In July 2006 Tony Bygraves, former Managing Director of MR Security, sold a major share in the Company with the sole purpose of expanding the business through acquisition and providing an unsurpassed level of Customer service.

On 1st August 2006 Icegrade Ltd acquired Hoffman Security Plc.

On 30th Oct 2006 Icegrade Ltd then acquired Oakley Systems Ltd.

The final part of the jigsaw for 2006 was the acquisition of the intruder alarm division of Arrow Security from Frimley in Surrey gaining the Company hundreds of maintenance and monitoring contracts.

On 31st march 2007 the Company then acquired Secureline Ltd.

On 1st January 2007 following the successful integration of these businesses we launched the new brand as MR Fire & Security Group with the head office in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey.

The head office immediately underwent a total refit with the latest telephony and computer technology being installed along with a new fleet of vehicles delivered in order to maintain the highest levels of customer service.

In July 2008 Brian Berry became a major shareholder and Chairman of the MR Fire & Security Group. Brian’s wealth of managerial experience within blue-chip organisations enabled the group to focus on creating a more efficient management structure.
